Special Education Needs

All pupils are entitled to a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum ensuring continuity and progression. We have a clear approach to identifying and responding to Special Educational Needs. We endeavour to identify early and make effective provision.

We work to the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice (2014), which provides us with guidance on carrying out our statutory duties of identification, assessment and provision for children’s special educational needs, including removing barriers to participation and learning, wherever possible. The Code recommends that schools should adopt a graduated approach to match educational provision to children’s needs.

Our SENDCo is Mr C Brookes and he can be contacted through the school office.
